Fragment of Roman Gutter

Circa: 1st-4th Century AD

This small fragment of Roman gutter was found on a site in Essex, England which yields finds from periods of history spanning Palaeolithic – Roman.

This particular find was close to a scattered area of Roman tiles and a brick in a small area of woodland.

The Roman find is most likely a corner of a Roman gutter

Measurements: 3.2 cm x 4.1 cm

Weight: 19g

Found whilst field walking an ancient woodland in Essex, England
