Bike Ride to Felsted Bronze Age Earthworks | Freedom from Lockdown 2021
Today the UK saw its first day of Freedom since lockdown began in January – The sun was shining, and it was a beautiful day. So Stephen and Yhana headed out on their mountain bikes to Felsted, Essex in search of a locally known Neolithic / Bronze Age site – Where the prehistoric earthworks can still be seen on the landscape. It is believed to be the site of ancient causewayed enclosure – Some believe the site includes a lost henge. Whatever the truth maybe is still hidden beneath the Earth and yet to be discovered. The Felsted Earthworks commands a prominent position in the Essex countryside, overlooking the River Ter Valley with views stretching for miles over the rolling green fields of Essex.
