Treasure Hunting in the Snow | Neolithic | Mesolithic | Palaeolithic Stone Age Finds

Whether your field walking, metal detecting, mudlarking there is always something interesting and incredible to find. In this episode Stephen and Yhana go field walking in search of England’s most distant past. They are searching for flint tools made in the Neolithic, Mesolithic, Palaeolithic period. These are stone age tools many 1000’s of years old, the very first weapons, tools that were used by mankind. Identifying such objects is not all that easy, but Stephen and Yana love the experience either way. The field they are searching is close to a corner of river, where the natural flow of water bends creating an area of land that hunter gatherers from long ago would have used to their advantage to corner animals. This area of land yields flint scrapers, flint arrows, stone hammers, stone axes and a few items that are questionable. So join Steven and Yana on their snow covered treasure hunt.
