Poetry and Prose

I began writing poetry and prose aged fourteen, and published my first work in 1997 in the national newspaper ‘The Sunday Mirror’, the poem was written and dedicated to Princess Diana of Wales and showcased in their commemorative edition.

Over the next four or five years I continued to publish in select collections and then finally in 2005 I edited my first anthology ‘Paint the Sky with Stars’, the publication was a small print run and sold 800 copies with all profit being donated to the Tsunami Earthquake fund.

The years that followed got very busy, and I concentrated on researching my family history in more depth, and studied several courses with the Open University in connection with World War One and War Poetry.

It was in 2018 that I finally published my first collected works – ‘Once I Write of Love’, and that same year I edited my second Anthology ‘War and Verse’.

This page is dedicated to my poetry and prose, and includes an index of blog posts that I have published in connection to my work.
